CHUSEOK ''THANKS GIVING DAY'' IN SOUTH KOREA/추석

This is the reason ''why do people celebrate chuseok in south korea''

On chuseok ,masses of people travel from large cities to their hometown s to repect  t the spirit of their ancestor . Chuseok celebrates the bountiful harvest and strives for the nextyear  to be better than the last.

Chuseok means ''autumn Eve'' in korea and is a harvest festival that last for 3days straigth.

It is scheduled based on the korean lunar calendar , but also always come in late of  september.

What  do Korean do for chuseok?

Koreans celebrate chuseok by making special foods, particularly a certain kind of rice cake called songpyeon.

Songpyeon is made with finely ground new rice and the dough is kneaded into small round shapes and filled with sesame seeds, chestnuts or other similar ingredients.

here the example the songpyeon we made togethere with Park Chunhee, head of songpagu office(mayor) and my multicultural friends in south korea.

celebrate chuseok with Park Ji-sung/박지송/Park Ji-sung is a south korean former professional football who played as a midfielder.

Since my husband is second son but he's married ,So he considered as the first son . The rule of sons wife is set and prepare the table for the family's ancestor. even  I am foreigner in our family is no exception. Being the first daugther  inlaw of korea preparing the table for ancestor is not easy job. Many korean women find it a big burden to prepare 3 to 5 rows of korean dishes same as me i prepare start  from rice, hot soup(beef raddish soup), korean dishes (panchan/반찬), chestnuts(ang sakit ng kamay ko sa pagbalat),fish (prito prito), beef, and tradional drinks (Shikye/ricejuice/식예/감주) dessert(balat ng prutas) korean rice cake(bili lang pero sakit sa bulsa ang presyo). It is takes a full day to buy all ingredients(pera mo na nga ginastos ikaw pa bibili at gagawa) and cook (ikaw pa magluluto), as you can imagine look the picture bellow. (imagine niluto ko magisa at ako narin naglagay at nagset ng table pina check ko lang sa asawa ko kung tama ang pagkasunod sunod)

TAKE YOUR TIME or Spend time to "YOUR KIDS" TIME IS PRECIOUS

TAKE YOUR TIME.
Matagal siya kumain ? Sabayan mo.

Matagal siya magsuot ng sapatos? Hintayin mo.

Matagal siya makatulog? Samahan mo.

Matagal niyang ma-pickup mga tinuturo mo? Tyagain mo.

Matagal maubos energy niya? Enjoyin mo.

Matagal siyang magkwento? Pakinggan mo lang

TAKE YOUR TIME. Kasi hindi forever yan. Isang araw lilingunin mo ang season na ito at sasabihin mong ang bilis lang pala talaga ng panahon, sana sinulit mo ang bawat oras na lagi niyang gustong...
Sumama sayo..
Nakadikit sayo..
Magpakarga sayo..
Hawak ang kamay mo..
Tawagin ang pangalan mo..
Makatulog na ikaw ang huli niyang nakikita..
Magpasubo sayo..
Makipaglaro sayo..
Magtanong sayo..
Nagpapakiliti sayo..
Magkayakap kayo..
Magpaturo sayo..
Magpabasa ng libro..
Ubusin ang oras mo... TAKE YOUR TIME. Ibuhos mo lang lahat sa kanya ngayon. Magtanim ka sa kanya. Aanihin mo yan balang araw.
